Performance and potential appraisal 

Tests fir training and development 

Morale survey 

Suggestion systems 

Specifically designed questionnaire 

Interview and personal discussion 

Group discussion 

Recommendations of immediate and other superiors

Request from likely trainees.

HR department coordinate the activities related to collection of information and making recommendations to be developed competencies.
